Join local artist & educator, Shelly Svonavec, for a creative night learning various ceramic hand building techniques! In this exciting workshop, participants will be able to freestyle with their clay to reach a desired outcome- planter, jewelry tray, spoon holder, decorative sculpture, candle holder, etc. You come with a little inspiration and Shelly will help you achieve your goal. All finished pieces will be safe for food & drink.

Workshop Includes

• • All Materials and Tools

    • Ceramic Clay: Off-white mid-fire stoneware, food safe

    • Glazes: A variety of glaze offerings and underglaze transfers. If you dont sign up for the part 2 glaze workshop, you will pick the glaze and Shelly will glaze for you. Addition of 22k gold accent included.

    • Tools: All tools needed to hand build & carve

  • Instruction and Guidance

    • Expert Instruction: Step-by-step guidance from professional artist, Shelly Svonavec in her private studio.

  • Refreshments

    • Beverages: Beer, Wine, & Seltzers. Pop & Sparkling water, too!

  • Firing and Finishing

    • Glazing & Kiln Firing: Your pieces will be glazed, fired, and sanded to completion. Glaze your own piece by singing up for part 2!

This is the perfect stress relieving night so feel free to come alone or snag a few friends to come with. While no experience is needed, this is also a great chance to build upon your past experiences/workshops to create something really cool under the tutelage of a professional artist.
