Join local artist & educator, Shelly Svonavec, for a creative night learning the coil hand building method! In this exciting workshop, participants will learn how to roll out coils of clay and use them to build a sculptural vessel. The longer class time and limited seating ensures a more intimate setting, with plenty of assistance!

Workshop Includes

• • All Materials and Tools:

    • Ceramic Clay: Off-White with grit

    • Glazes: A variety of glaze offerings. If you dont sign up for the part 2 glaze workshop, you will pick the glaze and Shelly will glaze for you.

    • Tools: All tools needed to hand build & carve

  • Instruction and Guidance:

    • Expert Instruction: Step-by-step guidance from professional artist, Shelly Svonavec in her private studio.

  • Refreshments:

    • Beverages: Beer, Wine, & Seltzers. Pop & Sparkling water, too!

  • Firing and Finishing:

    • Glazing & Kiln Firing: Your pieces will be glazed, fired, and sanded to completion. Glaze your own piece by singing up for part 2!

This is the perfect stress relieving night so feel free to come alone or snag a few friends to come with. While no experience is needed, this is also a great chance to build upon your past experiences/workshops to create something really cool under the tutelage of a professional artist.
